United Asphalts “No Smell Asphalt”

We are pleased to announce the introduction of United Asphalts’ “No Smell Asphalt.” This additive is an odor suppressant that will significantly reduce the smell and odor of asphalt.

This solution is not a masking agent like other products on the market, but an odor suppressant that acts at the molecular level to retard the release of specific odor compounds in the asphalt. Encapsulating asphaltines, the additive stops the evaporation of lighter petroleum molecules, eliminating fumes.

United Asphalts No Smell Asphalt is now available nationwide in bulk and carton forms.

With this new product, contractors will be able to promote and install a high built-up roof system on schools and hospitals and not have to worry about odor issues.

“No Smell” Product Information

United Asphalts produces four types of "No Smell" built-up roofing asphalt: Types I, II, III, and IV. All four types are made from high grade U.S. crude oil and meet or exceed ASTM D312 specifications. All products are tested on a daily basis by our in-house lab and are available either in bulk form or cartons. Each carton provides safety information - the Flash Point, proper EVT, and Type. Listed in the following charts are the ASTM D312 specifications for Types I, II, III, and IV roofing asphalt.
